Privacy Policy

This is a starting template, not a certified legal document. OIAM Studios is currently an independent freelance practice based in Paramaribo, Suriname, not a registered company. Suriname does not yet have an enacted general data protection law (a bill has been pending since 2018), so this policy is written to a good-practice baseline rather than a specific local statute. Before relying on this commercially, have it reviewed by a lawyer familiar with Surinamese and any other jurisdiction your clients are in.

Who this covers

This policy applies to visitors of the OIAM Studios portfolio site and to people who contact OIAM Studios (operated by an individual freelancer, trading as "OIAM Studios") to inquire about or commission web design, web development, or graphic design work.

What information is collected

Right now, this site does not run any contact forms, analytics, or tracking scripts of its own. The only way to contact OIAM Studios is via the WhatsApp link on the site, which hands you off to WhatsApp directly — WhatsApp's own privacy policy governs that conversation, not this one.

If a project moves forward, OIAM Studios may ask for and store the following, only as needed to deliver the work:

No more information is collected than is needed to complete the project. Sensitive personal data (health, financial account numbers, government ID numbers, etc.) is never requested unless a specific project genuinely requires it, and never stored longer than necessary.

Third-party services used by this site

This site loads fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com). Loading fonts this way can send your device's IP address to Google's servers as part of the request. No other third-party embeds, ad networks, or analytics are currently used.

Cookies and tracking

This site does not set cookies and does not use analytics or advertising tracking. See the separate Cookie Policy for details.

How your information is used

Any information you share is used only to communicate about and deliver your project — never sold, rented, or used for unrelated marketing without asking you first.

Your rights

You can ask, at any time, what information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by messaging OIAM Studios on WhatsApp.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the studio grows (for example, once a business email or formal registration is in place). The "last updated" date above will change when that happens.
